My Thoughts:
OMG this book was great! I loved the first book and couldn't wait to read this one. I was not disappointed at all! It picked up in a great place, with Benny & Nix training to leave town & go in search of the jet they saw. Because of things going on, Tom decides to leave early. He knows the Rot & Ruin is a place full of danger and decides to take the kids (Chong included) and Lilah on a route he hasn't taken in a long time. This proves to be smart because the R&R just got a lot worse. There are people who are upset about the death of Charlie Pink-eye and who want to take over his lands.... and also want revenge.
This was a great story of the challenges Benny, Nix, Chong, Tom & Lilah face as they set out on their journey. There was plenty of action to keep guys & girls interested and the continued romantic dynamic of Benny & Nix was interesting as well. I loved this book. The characters were once again easy to attach to and the story was very well written. Having Nix's journal entries was a great addition too.

I recommend this book to anybody! Especially guys who are reluctant to read many of the YA books out there currently.
